WOW! Paolo Nutini's concert was amazing tonight! He was on at Hammersmith Apollo, was just incredible. Support was good, and band sounded awesome!
Yes, I am writing in hope, for a reason. I'll be home about half 1, and can't be bothered to turn this on to sort out the blog! So if I do it now, everything will go smoothly! And I'll tell you tomorrow if its truthful or not!

First emotion I think!
So today, we have our first blog doubter. I won't mention any names (Callum Welch) but yes, he laughed at my blog. And said 'Watch out, he'll dedicate a day to you'. So Callum, hope you're happy. Cos i'm not dedicating to you (I wouldn't stoop that low...) I'm dedicating to something else.
Optimism. Why doubt when you could be an optimist? Callum, you talking about it today means that someone has read it. Someone that has no major connection to the blog. Which is always a good thing. If you were intrigued enough to click on the link and read what its about, then its all worthwhile.
And hoepfully there are more people who have read it. The optimist in me hopes so anyway!

Sunday 27th September 2009 - Jennifer Hudson
I know you're wondering, why? Why follow Simon Cowell with her? Well, I'll tell you why.
I'm dedicating my day to Jennifer Hudson for a reason. Yes, she was in Dreamgirls, and yes, her big song has been featured on X Factor all weekend so has been stuck in my head, and yes, thats part of the reason. But do you remember what happened at the turn of the year?
Jennifer lost members of her family due to a psychopath who was going out with one of them. She mourned for weeks, but then set up a foundation, and came out and sang the National Anthem at the Superbowl. Now is that courage, or is that courage?
Since then, she's picked up plenty of awards, roles in films and been a massive inspiration to people. When you're down, pick yourself up and brush yourself down, because things will ALWAYS get better in the end. Thats an absolute guarantee. And Monday's dedicatee, Willby - if you're reading this, follow the advice. Follow it, cos you did last night and now look whats happened!
Today has been a perfect day, absolutely perfect. All down to Isobel. So thankyou. I can't dedicate to you yet, because I've promised myself I won't! But you know every day is yours.

He is a key figurehead for Sony Music, owns SyCo and still hasn't even reached 50. He is an inspiration to me, and to a generation of people who want to be as big and successful as him.

Okay, so if you had to sit, suffer and watch Strictly Come Dancing, and you have no link, relation or interest to dancing, let alone the programme, you know what i mean.
Anthony Beke. Not as good as Anton du, but still his real name. The one man who makes SCD as interesting as it is! Yes, Brucie should be sectioned and locked in a home, and yes, Tess Daly really REALLY makes me want to punch her, but Anton still draws me to it!
I hate to say it, but a little bit of me is addicted to it. All because of Anton. His suits at training, his cheesy grin during the dances, his amazingly good sense of humour and his wit!
Anton may make an absolute idiot of himself on Hole in the Wall, but my God, he is one of the funniest non-comedians on telly.

Tuesday 22nd September 2009 - Vodafone
Ah. My beloved Vodafone. How can I describe you?
Only the worst phone company known to man. Crap customer service, crap rates, crap offers. I have taken a strong dislike to Vodafone today.
After trying to charge me £281 (scam merchants) to have my contract cancelled, and then to tell me that potentially it could cost me upwards of £250 to have my phone fixed, even though it is a Nokia recognised fault. I'm not happy.
They sent out a pack today so I can send it off to be 'fixed'. But knowing them, and knowing what they did last time something like this happened, they'll charge me, only to find that the problem is the same, and then whisk my phone off for another 3 weeks around the world. Its an absolute joke.
So, if you're thinking of going on to a Vodafone contract, DON'T. Sound advice from a disgruntled customer.

Monday 21st September 2009 - Will Pearce
My first personal one I guess.
Now not many of you will know of him. He's funny, he's got the quickest wit known to man, and he's such a good laugh. He is Will Pearce, and I'm very proud to call him my best friend.
You see, Will hasn't had the best couple of years. Problems at home, and things like that, haven't helped him. And to be honest, nor have I. I sit there and take the mick, and bless him, he takes it so so well. And I realised today that actually, maybe I do it too often. Maybe I don't show him that I actually do care about him.
So, like last Friday, I'm setting myself a challenge. If Willby is truly my best friend, I'll show him that. I don't know how, but today he really did light a spark in my head.
English, he was down. He went home because he couldn't find us. He's had a horrible day. And today, I'm going to do my best to make him smile. Because this person is one of the best people you could ever meet. He knows me inside out, and he is one of 3 of my closest best friends.

No I'm not weird, and yes, I shall explain.
So today. Got up nice and late, and then wandered into town with Dad. He got an iPhone and now I need a job so I can get one!
Starbucks, Isobel for a smiley walk, tea, and then babysitting tonight with Isobel!
And on TMF was Madonna's top 50! So guess what I was singing along to after Casualty?!
I love her. I really do. She's brilliant! And the new album is amazing, the tracklist is superb. Nearly as good as Mariah!

Friday 18th September 2009 - Bull
Bull. Complete and utter bull. Yay? Nay?
Let me explain. Someone I consider a friend likes bitching. And aimed it at me today. But I had to find out through someone else, which wasn't great. And it left me in an awkward position? Do I mention it to them, or keep it to myself and never let it get out? I picked the latter.
So now I have to bull my way out of it. Escape somehow, and escape the trap thats been left for me to step into. And I don't like it.
I used to do a lot of bulling. I cut right back just before last Christmas, and now its beginning to creep back. There is one person who is the root cause, and I know they need to have a lesser part in my life.
But why do I feel the need to bull? To juice up my life? No, I have enough good in my life to not need it. To make things more interesting? No, cos everything in life is interesting. To see where things lead? No, cos life is perfect right now. So why?
Tonight, the bull leaves. The bull goes for good. Everything needs to be truthful and to the letter. Even if it may get me into trouble. And after today's events, who knows....

Got it. My mate Barack. Now not many people would get away with calling someone as big as Kanye a 'jackass', especially not the President! Can you imagine it, Bill Clinton and George Bush calling him that?! Actually, can you imagine Bush saying anything sensible?!
I digressed. His speech against Kanye was incredible. This man isn't even 50 yet, and understands the importance of what he said, especially after the last time he did it. Poor Taylor. Your music may be poor but you didn't deserve that!
But yes, Obama gets my vote today. Mainly because he put an arrogant, extravagent, ego-obsessed idiot back down to size.

It makes me smile, and I've been humming it all day, and all night. Just such a brilliant record. I'll be singing it tomorrow too!

Tuesday 15th September 2009 – Answer Me This! Podcast
An odd one. I know its only half past 2, and I know that it may seem peculiar, but Helen, Olly and Martin the Soundman have made my afternoon much better!
Just got in from seeing Isobel, my girlfriend, and sat down with my laptop to do some work. I noticed Episode 108 hadn’t been listened to, so it went on. And since then, I’ve listened to 107, 106, 105 and 104! And I’ve been laughing and smiling, so even better.
The rain may be falling outside, and the sun may have gone. And I may feel lonely this afternoon, and very cold, but I’ve certainly been laughing a lot! And that is why I have decided to dedicate my day, even thought there are at least 8 hours to go!

Okay, so here we go!
I have sat until reasonably late tonight thinking about who to dedicate my day too. I was completely blank until it hit me earlier. My Twitter followers.
Yep. All 186 of them. I don’t know why, I just felt that they are deserving of it all. When I needed something sorting over the last 9 months, my question went straight on Twitter. When I need a laugh, I read the comedian’s Tweets. And I’ve converted a few as well!
It just seems the logical thing to do! It all started on the 20th of January, and now we’re nearly 1,700 updates in! Amazing when you think about it. So there we go!

Sunday 13th September 2009 - Introduction
The time is 15:58 BST. It is a time and a day to go into history. As today, Book VI begins.
I figured it would be easier to introduce myself, and my reasoning before we even start. My name is Adam Mills, and I’m here to change the world. In my own little way, of course. If I can write a blog, and make one person smile, or laugh, then my deed is done. My ultimate goal is to have people want to email me their dedications as well, and be able to get people to share what and why they think this person deserves a day.
So, as you will know, this blog is called Day Dedication. It is all about dedicating your day to someone or something. They don’t necessarily have to be famous, but they must have done something in your day. As long as something has happened to you from them, then the day can be theirs.
Only two rules – they must have changed your day, and you can’t dedicate more than one day to any given person/thing. So it has to be a new dedicatee per day!
It’s a challenge, and it’s one I’m willing to take up. I started writing ‘Books’ on the 15th October 2008, and its nearly been a year. This for me is Book VI, and I want to be able to share it with the world. So tell your friends, get them involved, and lets get something going that will bring a smile to someone’s face.
