Having decided today that actually, Florence and the Machine is a bit difficult to do for our Media coursework, Naomi and I have picked a Christina song to really strip things back and do something completely different. So we finally got the permission to do this from school today, and it's very exciting.

But it's had me in a Christina mood for weeks. It's been such good fun, but also very difficult because I find myself counting beats and using ideas in every song I listen to now.

But I will definitely keep you posted on what I think could happen, and what will!

It's very difficult to decide whether or not Smith is the right quarterback for the 49ers. He's a very good player, agreed, but is he enough to get the running backs and wide receivers going? I'm not so sure...

We're 0-3 now, so let's hope things all turn around and it all looks better by the end of next week.

Alonso is a brilliant, brilliant driver. He led from the very start today, and is now back in the race to win the World Championship. Not half bad eh?!

I still think Hamilton or Webber will take it, but Alonso has definitely thrown the whole championship open - making it an even better season.

It's not actually been released over here yet. All we've had is 'Wake Up Everybody', with the brilliant Melanie Fiona and Common rapping on it too. But I've found a lot of the stuff on YouTube, and I watched their brilliant near-2-hour set from the American Express session last night, and I can safely say it is some of the greatest soul music I've ever heard.

The Roots are certainly a band I'll now be looking out for in the future - I don't care what it sounds like, as long as it's a lot like this. It's just stunning, stunning stuff.

If you have a spare hour or so over the next 24, watch the link I've posted in a little earlier up - the AMEX session. It's certainly worth it, even if you only like horns and trumpets. Yes, Damian, you too.

We near enough share the same hairstyle as it is, bar the small quiff I'd love to be able to pull off. His suits are perfectly fitted and always suit him. The white shirt is crisp, and his wife is bloody beautiful.

But that's Don Draper. Jon Hamm, is in fact, now one of the world's biggest stars. Mad Men has really launched him big - he's the man to be seen with at the minute. You wanna be known, go get papped stood next to Jon.

Every woman wants a man like Jon. Every man wants to be like Jon. And everyone reading this should go and check out Mad Men, and realise why he is so good.

So, yes, Facebook did crash today for the longest period I can remember, but did I care? Not one bit. I had my Twitter app open, and Safari running so I could read about what all this money is going on, and it's such a brilliant, worthwhile project, and I really do commend him and the Facebook team for it.

But instead, on Tuesday night, I was on the old iPhone watching videos on YouTube. And what did I FINALLY get round to watching and listening to? JOHN LEGEND's new record, Wake Up Everybody, that's what.

And what a brilliant record it is! And I've had the pre-order set for the album since the day it was released onto the Internet, so am very excited for the 21st of October, when it arrives. Gonna be one of the great soul/R&B albums of the last 20 years, I reckon.

So that was that one. It just got me going with John Legend songs all day on Wednesday, humming them, singing them in my head, mouthing them on the train - I love the bloke. My favourite artist in the world.

I hate vegetables, and even wanted the veggie curry.

Now that says a lot - but how good is he?! In this one, he's not slagged off anyone, or sworn once. He's nurtured, told them what he thinks, and helped them work out what they should do. Its been brilliant to watch.

So, it got me thinking - what would actually make me feel business-like? Yes, I feel smart and I love to dress properly - I can't leave the house feeling a mess. But what then?

Well, I'm dying for a fitted Prada suit. And who would design it for me? MIUCCIA PRADA, Head Designer at the Prada house.

I would love to meet her, and love to work with her and for her. Its women like her who really make me wish I had gone down the fashion route.

If you don't know who he is, he plays for Man United, and until the start of this season, was a waste of £30m. Two years of doing nothing, to be honest. He was a team player, but from a fan's point of view, he didn't score goals, and as a striker, he should be. So he was deemed a poor buy by Fergie.

And then, the resurrection took place. Something happened over the summer that allowed him to become more free in his position. He went from playing off Rooney, to Rooney playing off him, and he was allowed to run and put the ball away neatly. With all the off-field drama going on in Wayne's life, he needs someone to step up and take the plaudits and score the goals, and Berba has done.

Today, he was the complete player. Putting a header away against Liverpool automatically makes you a good player. Scoring a second where you flick it up then overhead kick it in is something special. Then to get a second header against one of the tallest teams in the league to complete a hat-trick makes it even better. Especially when you go from 2-0 up, to 2-2, and then decide to win the game yourself.

He got a standing ovation at Old Trafford today, as he did in our front room. The first of many this season, I reckon. Its the season where he becomes a United great.

He watched for Teri, I watched for Eva. The small, petite, beautiful woman on the telly was the one I would do anything for. If she came looking, I'd drop everything. And not only that, but today, I had a proper look at TwitChange, the charity auction she's holding linking Twitter and the Haiti earthquake disaster. It's genius.

You bid for different packages from different people on Twitter, and it raises money for those devastated in Haiti. Honestly, no-one else would have thought of it, bar this incredible human being.

So, if you have the money, and have the opportunity, go and bid for some of the great things that are being offered. I've even linked it for you. Just click - it's that easy!

She does a lot more than people see - she's won Philanthropist of the Year in the past. She's not only got the beauty, but she has the brains. Tony Parker is one very lucky man.

But I thought it was such a nice thing for the bloke to do - to take time out of his busy schedule to type me a note just to let me know he'd picked up my email. Top stuff.

There he is with the Oscar he won for the Tarzan soundtrack he wrote - probably one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. And that sorta really got me into ol' Phil. I then found all the Genesis stuff, and then all the solo stuff. So thankfully, I was a fan before that dreaded Cadbury's ad, which just completely destroyed the little niche he had.

And I really do love him. The album that came out this week is great, and was on all day, and I really like it. Fun, smiley, and a happy record. And to be honest, as long as he's doing something we all know, it can't get too much better.

Having watched Jamie's American Food Revolution, which I recorded, I felt very inspired, and am now changing my own diet off the back of it. I don't eat enough green and good stuff, so I'm blogging about changing it all. Will show you in a sec.

But Jamie has helped our generation become much healthier. He pushed through his school dinner plan nearly 5 years ago, and it has dramatically changed the diets and intakes of the school kids today. You don't appreciate quite what he's done until you go into school cafeterias now and look around, and all you see is salad bars, homemade cookies, and healthy, one-pot meals. It's remarkable.

And all because he believed. It seems like this week is becoming one of those that is just 5 inspirations to me, but Jamie should be an inspiration to us all - he's changed how people eat, then changed how school kids eat, and is now going to change how other countries eat. All because he wants what is best for these people.

Oh, and congratulations of the birth of Buddy, Jamie. Now you've finally got a boy!

So, thankyou to everyone for staying round to read, and for getting a fair bit of publicity. We've had ups and downs because of this, and that makes it even better.

But who else achieved something today? Who else came over their own personal milestones in the 'public' eye?

LADY GAGA, that's who.

Having won 8 VMA's tonight, she's well and truly crowned herself as the Queen of the Music Industry. She's already one of the biggest acts to have ever come out of America. And she's only 24.

I went to see her in February, and it was safely one of the best nights of my life. It was just brilliant, and it was such a good laugh as well. She's incredible live - the show was brilliant, the sound was better, and she actually wanted to be there, rather than having to be. It all makes everything sound so much better.

And she's by a mile one of my favourite ever singers. Its always on my iPod, and she's always there should I need a pick-me-up, or something to help me through something.

So, after a full year of blogging, my whole year goes to this lady. Well, sorta a full year. Just a day.

Katherine Jenkins was dreadful. As was Rhod Gilbert and Jack Dee. Cat Deeley is hosting, and I cannot STAND her.

The only thing that stays the same is the Dedicatee - DAVINA MCCALL takes today.

Its very difficult to put into words how big Davina has been over the last 10 years. Having grown up with Big Brother since the very tender age of 7, I've seen some weird shit. But the majority of it has been brilliant.

With Big Brother shaping my generation - whether it be good or bad, depending on your opinion - it has created a 'cult', as it were. There are plenty of moments which I'll remember - Glyn's egg, Mario's 'juicy' biscuit, Chantelle and Preston's blossoming relationship, Nikki's 'Who is she?', Nadia's screaming, John McCririck, Jade's race row - the lot. It was just brilliant.

And the one person who has stuck around? Davina. Yes, Big Brother is going tonight, but Davina has been launched onto our screens because of it. We've got so many things we can take away from Big Brother, but honestly, Davina has become a darling of British television. And we've taken her away from the last 10 years. She's not a presenter of the show, she's a fan. And that's all you could ever wish for for something like this.

Now, seeing as I was walking by myself, I flicked me iPod on shuffle, and wandered on in, slowly building a running playlist for training for when I do the run in May.

Now, then when I came home, I put my iPod on again, but without the shuffle. And just playing the same stuff over and over again. It's been going since 4 o'clock this afternoon, and it's just gone 10, and it's still pumping out the music. I even went downstairs and left it on.

But why did I do this, I hear you ask? Well, here's why. Why turn off KYLIE MINOGUE?!?!

It would be the most stupid decision known to man. She is a big, big inspiration to me, and I love every song she's released, and every album is genius.

Having battled cancer, deciding to take a hiatus, and then gained her place as the Princess of Pop very quickly after returning, by churning out some brilliant tours and records, she's popped back up now with Aphrodite, and the Les Folies Tour.

Now sadly, the tour is a bit too expensive for me - if there was only one of me, I might splash out, but you can't go to Kylie without a friend! So that will have to wait, so until I can afford to actually go to a tour, I will keep playing the songs again and again.

She may 42, and she may have been an actress, a singer, a dancer, an author, a business woman, and a perfume creator, but she is still The One to beat. See what I did there?!

I backed David in the election, because I believed in him and his beliefs that he could help get us out the recession. He is doing, but we may be on for a double dip. That doesn't mean I back the Conservative party, just because I have faith in their leader, but nonetheless, I would have voted for them.

In the last few weeks, they had their fourth child, Florence, on holiday in Cornwall - and it was splashed on every paper. Yes, it's lovely that the new PM and his wife have another baby, but do we all need to see her? Leave the man and his family in peace.

And then today, his father, Ian, sadly passed away after a long battle with illness. Having been born disabled, he battled on and did many great things to help his son along the way. And David lost him today. Now again, this is gonna be put all other the face of the media, and I know, I'm being very hypocritical by writing this blog, but give him a break.

His dad has just died - the man who helped raise him and helped him become Prime Minister. The least he wants is to be papped every time he moves while he's mourning. Let him grieve, like any other person would want to.

It doesn't matter if you're Labour, Liberal, Nationalist, Communist, Socialist - I don't care what you are, just give him some breathing space. No-one wants to be in the situation he is in now, but it is inevitable we all will be. I don't think any of us will want all the attention of the country on us when it happens.

David, if this ever finds you, every condolence goes to you. I've never met you, nor your Dad, but from what I've read and heard today, he was a big inspiration to you and all that knew him, and that's all you can ask from a human being.

Because of a timetable clash that affects me and me alone, I have to move Business groups to be in the other one, so it accommodates my timetable. Stupidly complicated, and actually very annoying too.

Now I'm stuck with a bunch of unknown people, all of whom had Mr Wilson last year, so will be miles behind. And we have a New Zealander called Ms Pack as our new teacher. Fun.

But not only that, but I finally got paid today. It meant I could go and splash out on something to calm me down, and to soothe me. What do I buy? Nigella.

Of course.

But without the bloke to the top of the page, it couldn't have happened. Today goes to TIM WATERSTONE, seeing as it was he who not only gave me my first proper job (sort of), but also made me known in Waterstone's Hitchin.

Honestly, my time at WS was some of the best I've ever had. We had such a laugh, it was good fun, I loved every single person there, and I was surrounded by the few things I love at work - smiling customers, lots of incoming money, and books.

If it weren't for Tim, Waterstone's wouldn't even exist in Hitchin. We'd still have a boring old Ottakar's. And who wants that?!

It was pouring down outside, which really didn't put me in a good mood to put some shorts and trainers on, so I went down, flicked the kettle on, pinged down me toast, and popped the telly on.

As the screen flicked up ITV1, I realised that today would also be the start of Daybreak - the new programme replacing GMTV, with Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley. So, I poured my coffee, smeared Marmite on me toast, and settled down, with many others across the country, to watch some TV. Did I expect it to be car crash? Maybe. But I also knew that Adrian and Christine didn't want to leave The One Show, and that all their love for the programme would be transferred into Daybreak - sort of like The One Show, but 5 times the length, and 12 hours earlier. Simple.

And it was brilliant. Honestly, I always prefer my news more Sky news-serious, and this fit the bill perfectly, combining some brilliant chat, some proper hardcore news and a fair bit of fun along the way too. And Adrian and Christine managed to keep the ship sailing, and had a good giggle as well. It made for really good viewing.

So much so, I was late for the doctors.

There's been a lot of hate on Twitter and the likes for how cheesy, and how much less serious it is, and how many viewers are defecting to the BBC, or Sky. Not me. I'll be sticking with my ITV morning pick-me-up, as I have done for years.

So how can I give the day to anyone else?

THE DAYBREAK TEAM, you are the Day Dedicatee for Monday 6th September 2010.

WAYNE ROONEY apparently cheated on wife Coleen whilst she was pregnant with baby Kai. With some slag called Jenny. Now I read the stories, and I'll be honest, there may be a little truth, but not much.

This kiss-and-tell tart has come up with all sorts of rubbish about how Wayne used to buy pay-as-you-go phones to text her dirty messages, and used to meet her and her friend for a threesome. Also, Michael Owen and the majority of the United team had seen them together - so how come we didn't know beforehand, and nothing had leaked properly?

Load of bull if you ask me.

WAYNE ROONEY, you are the Day Dedicatee for Saturday 4th September 2010.

Its apparently Friday. In real terms, its Sunday night, I'm nursing a 'headache', and school starts tomorrow. Oh, and I have to find time for a run too, so I apologise if this is horribly slow and boring.

Having had two evenings of chatting and working out what had happened over the summer, today goes to WILL PEARCE. He also received a blog on DD Mk I, so lets see how this one compares with the rest.

Now apparently, Will isn't best pleased with me. I don't honestly know why. I had an inkling that something like this was up, but had it confirmed this week.

Honestly though, I don't have a clue. Yes, Will usually ends up as the scapegoat, but it's always me that takes the wrap for whatever anyone else says. I don't know why, but hey ho.

I wouldn't want to lose Willby as a friend over something so petty - he's the kind of bloke you can see yourself having a pint with on a Tuesday lunchtime. We all share interests, but I feel I share the most with Willby.

I dunno if you'll ever find this, Will. But whatever I've done, Wilbur, I'm sorry. I'll do me very best to sort it all out from tomorrow onwards, and make sure it doesn't happen again.

WILL PEARCE, you are the Day Dedicatee for Friday 3rd September 2010.

...And ADRIAN CHILES.'

I really miss The One Show, when it was bigger and better. It was a proper belter when it was on. And Christine was gorgeous on the BBC.

But they've both now defected to ITV, and Christine's been spray-tanned to within an inch of her life, and Adrian has been spruced up a wee bit himself. But that doesn't mean we can't have an Old One Show themed Come Dine With Me party.

So we did.

I was, obviously, Adrian. Isobel was, obviously, Christine. Robyn was Alex Fidger, the Rodent Advisor. And George was Andy Spudde, our Potato Expert. And we had interviews and everything.

But it was brilliant fun - it truly was a good laugh. And we had accents too.

So, ADRIAN CHILES, you are the Day Dedicatee for Thursday 2nd September 2010.

Yes, this man designed the iPhone, the iPad, the iPod, and the majority of Macs for the last 15 years. Told you he'd helped change your life.

Oh, and did I mention he's British?

He moved to America in 1992, and joined Apple almost immediately. He gained his current job titles when Steve Jobs re-joined the company in 1997, and he hasn't looked back since.

I'm sorry, but the things we use every day, this bloke had in his head and jotted down, and look at it now. The click wheel. The Magic Mouse. The iPhone Headphones with Remote. Its the little things, and they all make a massive difference.

We owe him a hell of a lot, and then some. He's shaped the way we make calls, we listen to music, and we send emails. Write documents. Show photos to friends. He's revolutionised, along with the company, the way we use technology.

So, JONY IVE, you are the Day Dedicatee for Wednesday 1st September 2010.

Big Ben strikes 6 o'clock, and that's the signal. The signal, that actually, one of the biggest days in football has arrived. Transfer Deadline Day is all done with. Unless you're Spurs.

You see, at 5 to 6, the news reached us that Rafael van der Vaart was close to signing Spurs. The bell rang, and we thought the paperwork could never have gone through in time. It hadn't Spurs signed him.

You see, they used the excuse of 'technical issues' not allowing them to fax the relative papers in. Not got more than one fax machine and number at Spurs then?

Still, a great player has just arrived in the Premier League very cheaply. Bargain of the season to be honest, if he plays how he can actually play. Will be interesting to see which midfielder makes room for him though....

RAFAEL VAN DER VAART, you are the Day Dedicatee for Tuesday 31st August 2010.
