I love his work - I read my first Danny Wallace book in 2007, and read them all since. And I've got halfway into his new book, 'Awkward Situations For Men', and realised just how much I want to be like him.

I want to notice the weird shizzle that he sees, and I want to be able to write in such a way that you can picture everything that goes on. I want to be able to write a regular column, and have a kid with my beautiful wife. And I want to be able to tell the world about my conversations at the pub with my friend Colin.

And hopefully, that's exactly what will happen. But I just can't believe how good this man is. His writing amazes me every time I turn the page, or read his ShortList stuff. Its just class.

And I wish him every luck in the world with the new pilot for the show too. Top man. No wonder he's my idol.

DANNY WALLACE, you are the Day Dedicatee for Saturday 31st July 2010.

His new cycle hire scheme kicked off today in London, a week after the new cycle lanes appeared as a blue haven for the two-wheeled vehicles. And how well did it work?! 12,000 people have signed up to use the scheme already, and with only 5,000 bikes available currently at 315 different docking stations across the city, there is a lot of interest. Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh are already looking at trying this.

It is a phenomenal scheme, something that, in a few years time, will hopefully take the strain off the Underground and the bus system. Its green, eco-friendly, and very cheap to operate. Plus, its blue. And blue's a good colour.

And with all the news with him helping mark the '2 Years To Go' 2012 Olympic landmark, and his jokes and witty remarks on the One Show - well, who else would get today?!

A top bloke, and a brilliant Mayor and politician.

So we're edging nearer to our first month back at the helm of Day Dedication, and I guess its fitting that today goes to someone who should have had more than a month at the greatest job in English football.

Again, with me Post-Its, I managed to write down three words next to his name. Today, it just, simply, said 'BRIAN CLOUGH - Ol' Big 'Ed'.' And I think that's all it needs to say.

Dad and I watched another film this evening - The Damned United. I've read the book, and it was a brilliant, brilliant film. I'm shocked by how good Michael Sheen was in it. But it doesn't take away the fact that Leeds were the dirtiest scum in the First Division at the time. And everyone knows that.

But Sheen portrayed Clough in a way that we saw just how warm his personality was, and how much football owes to him now. Its very tempting to say that Michael Sheen actually turns this film into the best sports film ever made.

But still, Clough is, in his own words, the greatest England manager they never had. He was a master of the art of tactics, and technique. He played some beautiful football, and is the reason behind Nottingham Forest becoming European Champions two years running.

And his legacy lives on in the way football is played now. If only we had a couple more Cloughies in the game now.

BRIAN CLOUGH, and to some extent, MICHAEL SHEEN, you are the Day Dedicatee for Thursday 29th July 2010.

I now have a little stash of Post-Its where I can write down who is going to be the Day Dedicatee, and for what reason. Today its quite weird. Today, it says this. 'ROBIN WILLIAMS - Just because he's the greatest comedian that ever lived.'

Yes indeedy, the day today goes to Mr ROBIN WILLIAMS. And I'm surprised he's never appeared before. He is, by a living mile, the funniest man to have ever walked the planet. You hear people talking about it, and you shake it off, knowing you are right (I thought Peter Kay - second maybe?), but having watched 'Man of the Year' tonight with Dad, and watching this man change a film dying on its arse into something where its laugh a minute, and knowing that half the stuff he's saying wasn't in the script, and then you know why.

I grew up with the big man - Aladdin, Flubber and Mrs Doubtfire to name just three. But it's only when you get slightly older that you realise the genius of this funny, witty and charming man. Now I sound like I'm singing a Smiths record, but hey, no problem in that!

I just can't believe quite how many films he's been in, and how many people he's made laugh. Yes, sometimes he can be slightly annoying with how quick he talks, but everything that spews from his gob is just immediately a classic.

And its all down to this man, LEE UNKRICH. He's directed the film, and its been a phenomenon. The new characters are all brilliant, the storyline is so clever, and I have a feeling that TS4 may already be in the pipeline.

There aren't many films that touch everyone that goes to watch it. I'm sure everyone has seen at least one of the three, but this film had men crying. It was a very sad ending, but so beautifully written that it gives hope at the same time.

I just hope that Lee conitinues to create films just like this.

I've decided to try and get all my work out the way this week, so that I have a nice summer of doing absolutely nothing. I think that's fair enough, seeing as we've all put in a lot of work this year.

So I was sat, typing away, doing my Media blog, when I suddenly realised the tenuous link I could make. I could combine niche marketing, with MELODY GARDOT. Result.

Now I love Melody. I got really heavily into her music just before she became mainstream, and she's brilliant. Best jazz artist around at the minute. And her story makes the music even better.

Her first album had some great little songs - 'Worrisome Heart' was great, as was 'Quiet Fire'. But her second album is one of my favourite albums ever. My One and Only Thrill had songs like 'Baby I'm A Fool', 'If The Stars Were Mine', and that amazing cover of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'.

So yeah, making that link made my day. Hence why you're all reading about it now!

So Isobel and I chose bands that sounded a bit different. We went to a Latin band, one from Cuba, and some really far out bands - none of which were very good. But it was the ones who didn't sound great, but we went to see in hope, that were brilliant. The London Gypsy Orchestra were fantastic, as were the Rhythm and Blues Band. But the ones that definitely stood out for me were THE DODGE BROTHERS.

A band, very much like The Baseballs, who play bluegrass skiffle with film critic Mark Kermode on double bass. The band were brilliant - it was a great warm up for Get Cape Wear Cape Fly - supposedly the headliners, but to be frank, I'd rather fill my ears with pig shit.

Anyway, The Dodge Brothers were a top band - a band I'd certainly go and see again at another festival. Let's hope they're back next year!

And he's so modest - I don't think he realises quite how famous he now is.

Its people like Jake that have made me get really interested in the world of sports broadcasting. He's taken my ideal route into the media industry - he even did radio as well. Its exactly what I want to do.

Jake - if you ever read this, you are in fact my idol, and I'm sure you won' mind me asking for some work experience - we all have to start somewhere!

Now there's not many headteachers who has the respect of every single person in the school - staff and students. He was a really top bloke - he was kind, and caring, yet affirmed his authority when it needed to be. He'd play football with the boys at lunchtime, and say hello to anyone who smiled at him.

I mean, its not very often you have to queue to say goodbye to someone. It says it all.

Now I think Ozil is a great player, he is just what United need. But not at £30m. These rumours, however, say we can get him for £12m - absolute bargain.

So we need to think quick, and get this kid before everyone else does.

We went to William Ransom to watch the school production, which happened to be Seussical this year. Now, having been a lead in every school production since Year 3, I think I'm 'well experienced', but tonight was safely the best production I think the school have ever put on. It was just stunning.

It flowed, they sang brilliantly, there were surprises, and it was fun. Everyone had a laugh, a smile, and a chuckle at that Dr Seuss memory they have from being a kid.

I don't remember too much Dr Seuss, but I remember that hat on that cat. And he is one of those people who will live on forever through their work. People wax lyrical over Shakespeare and A.A. Milne, but why not Dr Seuss?! Possibly the greatest children's book writer ever.

So, having been offered to Man United, Tottenham, Arsenal and Man City, he decides to move to Liverpool today, because he will 'get games'. It just so happens he's also added 50% onto his salary, and now earns £90,000 a week, including a £5m signing-on fee. Not bad for a club supposedly in financial ruin.

Now don't get me wrong, Roy Hodgson has got a remarkable deal there. He's pulled off one of the signings of the season. But having told people in interviews that he played because he wanted to, rather than for money, it goes a long way to show what a money-grabbing tart he is.

Ah well, let's just hope he gets injured for the season.

The proper red is back, as is a collar! A bloody collar! We haven't had one of them in years! New sponsor, a bit of printing, and all looks hunkydory.

So, as much as a pain you are for letting them forget my parcel, Mr Davis, you helped deliver my favourite parcel for ages.

Along with the majority of the world, I'd never heard of Oosty. All I'd heard was that South African golf was beginning to pick up again, after the demise of Ernie Els. And as good as it was to see, I really don't like the South African attitude, but Louis was the most polite, modest bloke on the course this afternoon.

And guess what?! We've got a video for you too. Oh I miss the dramatised American sports coverage...

Her advice of boxing things up and selling them as packages, and giving people space to browse, grouping items and creating a brand, rather than a shop, meant that Parc could easily go somewhere new.

She creates one of the best programmes on TV, with a budget of about £2,000. That's nothing, but its brilliant. I just can't wait until I could be close to doing something like that.

He won't ever say a bad word about you, unless your initials are JB, of course. He likes a drink or two, but who doesn't?!

He's actually one of the only people who has made Politics enjoyable for me this year, seeing as I've wanted to ditch it since October.

So today goes to something, again, football-related. Having decided to give Football Manager another pop, but this time, online, Damian, Bradley and I had to choose teams to be when we're online. Bradley obviously chose Leicester, Damian took Everton, and I took Birmingham, replacing this man, ALEX MCLEISH.

Now McLeish is a top, top manager. I've always thought that, and any man who can get a team up to the top 10 in the league in their first proper season back deserves all the applause.

He's a clever tactician and can work with a limited budget. Something I'm hoping to replicate this summer on the game....

Christ, it only took us 3 days to get to a vaguely personal one!

Today goes to someone who has changed my views a lot, and has affected my day entirely. Today goes to MRS GANGULY. That picture isn't her, obviously.

Mrs Ganguly is the Head of Enterprise Co-Ordination at school, will be the Acting Head of Department of Business Studies as of next year, and is my Business teacher. And she's only been with us a year.

Miss is now also an expectant mum, and she thought we'd all hate her for ditching us during A2 year. In fact, we genuinely couldn't be happier for her - she has the kind of personality that you just love the minute she walks into a room.

It was a completely different Business experience compared to last year's with Mr Wilson, but it's been a wholly unique, enjoyable time this year, and I'm sure I will look back on my Business A-Level and think how brilliant everything has been.

You see, I didn't choose Business Studies initially - I wanted to take Chemistry. But I didn't get the grades, and I thought I'd take a gamble on Business. And when I found out that we wouldn't have Lord Wilson, I hit the roof. And then, when Mrs Ganguly came along, and put D's and E's across every paper I did, I didn't particularly want to continue. But what a difference having a teacher who is willing to sit you down, tell you to buck up your ideas, and then help you through all the difficult bits makes.

Mrs Ganguly is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had, and I'm sure I speak on behalf of all the class (excluding one...) when we all say thank you come next Friday. Plus we all want to be godparents. For future reference.

Anyway, if you ever spot this on your travels, thank you for all your help this year Miss, and let's hope next year is even better (it will be for you anyway - you're leaving me with Damian alone!)

Naomi and I are doing a piece of media coursework about Florence and her very large, very noisy Machine. We have to design CD covers, a magazine advert, and make a music video for one of her songs. We're the only ones who have chosen a 'signed' artist, and it's making it very difficult for us, but hey, its a challenge!

We didn't realise just how difficult it was going to be until we started ourselves off, but we're getting there, and we've made initial contact so all looks rosy in the world of showbusiness.

I will keep you posted mind you, so don't think this is the end of old Flo!

Wahey! Welcome back ladies and gentlemen! It's really good to be home, after my break doing the World Cup blog. As I've told you plenty of times before, Day Dedication is back today, with a vengeance. We're bigger and better than ever, with people contributing, interactive multimedia, a fresh new look to the page, and also ways for all of you to get involved.

And with the rule changes, there will be a further few tweaks along the way. I can only Dedicate to people now, rather than feelings and attitudes, and this means that someone must have affected my day in some way or another. Which also means that there will be links to other websites about the said person, because they are bound to have featured in the news!

So enough wittering on. Let's get down to business! Now not many of you will recognise this man. You probably won't recognise his name either. But the first Dedicatee of the second era is a man called DANNY JORDAAN.

As you can see by the logo in the background, he is involved in the World Cup just gone in South Africa. in fact, he is the man who organised it. And their bid to host the competition in 2006. To be honest, he's a bit of a legend in his parts.

There's always an organiser, but there's never been a life changer before. This bloke created a legacy that will continue throughout the whole of Africa, not just in South Africa.

Now, for my selfless plug, as I probably will do seeing as I'm still in football mode. If you want to know any more info about the World Cup, or want to see my take on it all, go visit World Cup Wonder.

Right, now it's your turn. Tweet about this blog, email us, message us directly, comment on a post, rate one with the small stars below, or just post it across the web. The success of the blog so far has been down to you, so let's make it better. Your comments will be posted onto a new page once they're made, so everyone can see them for the rest of time.

Oh, and news came to us yesterday that this man now wants to bring the Olympics to South Africa. Talk about loving his job.

DANNY JORDAAN, you are the Day Dedicatee for Monday 12th July 2010.
