I got a letter through the post yesterday (funnily enough) with 'House of Commons' written across the top. I shat myself - I didn't know what to expect. I thought 'Oh God, what have I done?'
I cracked it open, living in hope that it was something good, and I was fine. And indeed, I was. It was a letter from PETER LILLEY, my local MP, who was writing to me to let me know that the email I sent about the anti-Glazer campaign on behalf of MUST had been picked up, and had been forwarded on to Hugh Robertson.
But I thought it was such a nice thing for the bloke to do - to take time out of his busy schedule to type me a note just to let me know he'd picked up my email. Top stuff.
If only all MPs were like that! So yeah, I guess Peter sorta made my day....
PETER LILLEY, you are the Day Dedicatee for Thursday 16th September 2010.
He usally is REALLY good responding to emails quickly, he also gave me a tour of parliament. However I sent him a really important email a few months ago, and todate I have notrecieved a reply so, Peter Lilley you are not peter S's day of dedication today.
