Its not been the greatest of days. The Lake District trip arrived back, so everyone we hate arrived abck in the common room. Moods weren't great, we're all tired, and its the end of term tomorrow. Need I explain more?
Plus the fact that today, the paper wasn't printed. Again. Thanks to some shoddy messaging, we all got a bit muddled and everything got confused. Argh.
So yeah, a highly charged day where no-one wanted to know and no-one cared. And basically, everyone fell out with everyone. Bizarre but true.

Tuesday 30th March 2010 - Easter
I shall start with a very subtle hint as to where we're going with this blog. The 21st February 2010.
Today goes to EASTER. Now, like a lot of you, I enjoy Easter for the vast amounts of chocolate and crap you can eat, without feeling guilty. At the weekend, I understood the Easter story a bit better, and if the 2012 prophecy comes about, I don't think I'll be going up, let's put it that way. I really enjoyed the concert we went to, and I do believe in God and Jesus and all that, but some of it is just too far fetched. For me anyway - that's my opinion. Of course, you're all entitled to your opinions. (Don't report my blog....)
I really don't like Good Friday - fish all day? A meal ain't a meal without meat. Then Easter Saturday is seriously boring, because you just sit around watching reruns of Songs of Praise. Easter Sunday is alright I guess, but the afternoon is like any Sunday - dull, boring and drags on forever.
But Easter Sunday is usually the day I use to reflect on how poor the last 40 days have been. You see, the 21st of February was Dedicated to LENT. And that failed quite miserably this year. Isobel and I chose each other's lents; I got swearing and blaspheming, and she got junk food. I broke mine within a day or so - when something is part of everyday language, its very hard to cut it out. Isobel lasted a few more days (before lying to me!) but has kept going with crisps. But where is this leading, I hear you ask?
Today, I can unveil my first big plan of the summer. April will be known as LATE LENT - 30 days of me cutting back on my heavy swearing and blaspheming. I can't promise a total give-up of them - its very difficult. It would be like me saying 'give up every word you say that begins with a W' - its tough! So I shall cut back, and hope, and will let you know what I do with that!

Monday 29th March 2010 - National Express
I wasn't expecting to write this. A bit of an odd one, but you'll understand why. Today goes to NATIONAL EXPRESS.
I've been coach spotting you see. Been trying to find some coaches for Isobel and I to catch from Hitchin all the way up to Liverpool, and then catch the Merseyrail into Freshfield. Simple eh? Anything but.
Not only does the National Express website crash every time you use it (which is apparently the 'booking site' - my arse it's the booking site), but they want to charge us £80 return. Actually, a very good value ticket. Thats about £40 each, so £20 a trip. But then you have to factor in the train journey when we're there as well. It suddenly becomes quite an expensive trip. Because that train journey has to be each way - there AND back.
We'd both best try and get jobs. Well, we've both tried. But every tit and dickhead in school works - and then claims EMA on top of. Some of them, I can deal with, but there are some who spend their money on sex, drugs, alcohol and fags. Where is the point?! I want a job so I can take my girlfriend away, so I can stop pestering my parents for money, to be able to go to the cinema, and be able to eat in the same week. Its not exactly fair.

Sudnay 28th March 2010 - Pride
The pictuire is for the film of the same name. I couldn't find anything that wasn't rainbow coloured, so this'll have to do. Today goes to PRIDE.
Its a wonderful thing int it? Sometimes you have it, sometimes you don't, but someone is always proud of you. Bizarre.
Today, I finally (FINALLY) finished the paper. All the layout is ready, and there is one piece left. One article to go, then we're all finished. And we can upload, and everything is good in the world. Having had Friday though, it's just sapped all the joy surrounding it, and everyone's efforts have just dwindled since then.
But yeah, the one eprson who still needs to put their article in (2 weeks after the deadline) needs to hurry up. Or their column will remain blank. Ha bloody ha. Joke is on you now!

Saturday 27th March 2010 - Women + Football
It was exactly a month ago today I was at Lady Gaga. Weird how life goes, int it?!
Anyway, today goes to WOMEN + FOOTBALL. First time we've had a Dedicatee that has a symbol in it. Its been a better day - can you tell?
Isobel and I spent the whole day together - was really good. But trying to get her to watch the United game this evening was like getting blood out of a stone. Now I understand that some women actually really enjoy football - and most of them understand the Beautiful Game. But when you have to bargain to be able to watch the last 15 minutes of each half, it suddenly sucks all the fun out of it!
Anyway, we sat down, and she hated it. Like proper hated it. She jumped at the chance of curling Katie's hair. So I sat and revelled in the game. Happy days.
But yeah, I apologise to all those women who do understand and enjoy football, but men, if your girlfriend/wife/sister/auntie/mum/transvestite sits down to watch the football because you've forced her, just send her away. It's easier.

Friday 26th March 2010 - Catastrophe
(I know its late, but better than never eh?)
How can you describe what happened today? Okay, its not a CATASTROPHE in the sense that the world is about to end. But based on what we've done the last few months, it really is.
Now the newspaper was meant to go up today, but after a chain of events, things went from bad to worse. And certain articles didn't show up on time, editing couldn't happen and it meant that everything has now gone tits up.
Not a good day.

How can you describe what happened today? Okay, its not a CATASTROPHE in the sense that the world is about to end. But based on what we've done the last few months, it really is.

Thursday 25th March 2010 - Deadlines
You may have noticed that for the previous three days, each blog was about some sort of musical figure. Just trying something out and seeing where it leads - all shall be revealed soon!
But today has nothing to do with that. Today goes to DEADLINES, and links with Monday's blog about The Chronicle.
You see, I have sorta taken on the roles associated with Editor. I love my 'job' - I love the bit of power I have, and working as a team with everyone. We get the job done. But last Friday was our main article deadline. And we still, STILL have articles coming in, at this late stage. Most are being stopped, but some have to go in because of who they are written by. Its a tough business!
Tomorrow, however, is Upload Day. Its the first massive day, and big deadline we've had. We've all pulled together to get it ready, but we have two bits missing - one article, and one picture. Once thats all done, we can distribute and upload wherever we wish to go!
And so far, I'm very happy with what I've been able to do with it, and will officially unveil it to the team tomorrow lunchtime, and hopefully they will feel exactly the same.
